I'm the co-founder of :Different, the assistant for your home. We’re based in Sydney, Australia, and operate in Sydney metro, Melbourne metro and we’ll soon be launching Brisbane!

In addition to my day (and night) job, I’m a board advisor at Airtasker, and an advisor at Antler.

I love working with startups and helping them think about their business and products. My experience spans companies big and small across different industries and at different stages of growth.

In the past, I’ve been an advisor at Cowboy Ventures, working with portfolio companies on product strategy. Prior to that, I was an EIR at Redpoint Ventures and a mentor at 500 Startups.

At Uber, I was the first Head of Product. I started there back in the days when we still had a big green button for a UI. I joined the company in 2011 as the first product person and the twentieth employee. There, I led diverse initiatives such as car types, international expansion and surge pricing, but would still rank Mariachi On Demand as one of my favorite launches. We scaled the team from one product person and two cities out to a twenty person team, hundreds of cities and millions of customers.

I was also one of the first PMs at ModCloth, building out core eCommerce foundations, and innovative review and measurement systems to help customers better shop for fashion online. We also developed new supply management systems to support the volume of independent fashion designers and helped me to build an impressive wardrobe.

I originally moved to the Bay Area to join the Google APM program, and learned to build products at scale in the Engineering Productivity, Digital Advertising and the Desktop/Toolbar teams. I'm a former New Yorker and in a different life, worked as a business analyst at Goldman Sachs. I'm also a proud nerd who graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from Cornell University.

In my spare time, I'm a yogini, a voracious reader and cruciverbalist. My current obsessions include coming up with funny gifs of my son (he’s learning how to eat), and keeping up my Typeshift streak.
